If you like to indulge in a beer every now and then, leave your money at home if you plan to do your drinking in a betting house. I am not joking. clean out your pocketbook, your money belt, and keep all cash, debit cards and checks at home. Take whatever cash you intend to spend on beverages, tips and whatever loose coins you plan on loosing and leave the remainder behind.
Cynical? Not at all. Realistic more like. You might well discover a success after a drunken evening out with your buddies and be fortunate enough to catch a 25 minute roll at a smokin craps table. Hang on to that story because it’s as brief as it gets if you constantly drink and bet. The two simply do not mix.
Leaving your money at home is a bit drastic, but preventative measures for dramatic actions is proportionate and necessary. If you wager to win, then do not drink and gamble. If you are able to afford to throw away your money without a worry, then drink all the free alcohol your belly can handle, but do not take credit cards and cheques to toss into the mix of going after losses after your drunken brain squanders everything!
